  • Regular exercise and activities are beneficial for all children, including children with type 1 diabetes. Ask your child’s care team for advice and tips regarding participating in sports or other physical activities. Inform coaches or caregivers of their health status. However, it would be best if you insisted that your child wear their medical identification bracelet at all times, including during sports. Physical activities help insulin work better and support the proper development and growth of a healthy child.
