Studies claim that young people are the most affected community by the COVID-19 pandemic. They are the most stressed, anxious, and depressed among other age groups. A study conducted on 7000 Chinese people claimed that people under 35 reported higher stress and anxiety levels and much more depressive symptoms than other age groups. Apart from the enhanced risks of getting affected by the virus, young individuals’ emotional and mental wellbeing has also been drastically affected.

Why Stress and Anxiety Increased During COVID-19? 

One significant reason for such heightened stress and anxiety levels among young people is the lack of social interactions during the pandemic. The only way to restore young individuals’ emotional and mental well-being is by maintaining social interactions and connections via digital devices and technology that has become so familiar through remote working and schooling.
